Umer ibn Al Khattab (R.A)
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed for this
man to accept Islam, recognizing his unmatched personality and natural
leadership. Hazrat Umar ibn Al-Khattab was a born leader who embodied a deep
love for justice.
He was honored with the title Al-Farooq,
the one who distinguishes between right and wrong. He was a man so resolute in
his laws and character that even Satan would flee upon hearing his name. He was
a fearful man for oppressors and evil people, yet for the righteous and the
oppressed, he was a source of comfort and strength, bringing ease and
reassurance with his presence.
As the Caliph, Umar ibn Al-Khattab set a
remarkable standard of humility and simplicity. His lifestyle never exceeded
that of the lowest most common individual in his realm, reflecting his
unwavering commitment to equality and service.
Tragically, while many in the non-Muslim
world study and implement his principles of governance and justice, many
Muslims today remain unaware of the extraordinary legacy of Umar ibn
Al-Khattab. His wisdom, leadership, and contributions are lessons for all
humanity, yet they are often overlooked by the very people he served so
selflessly.
